Wow!  It is 2010.  The start of a new year always brings about feelings of remorse for the things we leave behind and joy for the blank canvas that awaits.  So, shake off the remorse and start painting that canvas in front of you.  You can change your whole life with just an intention of living a life filled with Peace and Love. The source of our happiness does not rely on what we have aquired but what lives in our hearts.  As you start 2010 make that first color green. Remember to be good to yourself.

Can you believe we are already at part four of the Celestial Series? The archangels are always here to assist us. Each of them has specific duties and characteristics. When you’ve done everything humanly possible to remedy a difficult situation or perhaps you just want to amp up an already pretty good situation, call in the angels. The angels do not have free will so we must call them in to help us. Now we have a better idea of their specialized duties. Give it up to them totally and completely.

Archangel Gabriel whose name means “God is my strength” is the tenth angel of our series. One of Gabriel’s duties is supporting mothers through all stages of childbirth and adoption, as she foretold to Mary the birth of her son Jesus. Many of my light worker friends are closely connected to this angel.  Early paintings created by Fra Angelico, a 14th century Florentine painter, depict her as female. I work with her immensely! She helps all artists, especially those delivering spiritual messages, including authors, journalists, singers, musicians, teachers and reporters. Call on Gabriel to help you bring projects closely connected to your heart to fruition and to dispel any procrastination. I usually feel Gabriel on my left (receiving) side. Her aura color is copper and the crystal associated with her is citrine.

Sandalphon, originally the prophet Elijah, was one of only two men who God made into angels, because of their sacred and dutiful works here on Earth. Metatron and Sandalphon do not end in “el” which means of God in Hebrew because they were men first. Rabbinic lore names them the great angelic princes. Sandalphon’s aura color is turquoise and the crystal connected to him is turquoise as well. This angel works closely with musicians. I often call on Sandalphon to keep me grounded and focused before a show. His energy is gentle and soft, reminding me of a beautiful beach, with turquoise colored calming waters. Sandalphon takes our prayers up to heaven to be heard and answered. Because he is known to be so tall, he can easily reach Heaven and deliver them.

Raziel is our last archangel of part four. He is one of my favorite angels! His name means “secrets or mysteries of God.” Raziel wrote down these mystical secrets in the magical and symbolic book called “Sefer Raziel” meaning the book of Raziel. His aura color is rainbow stripes and clear quartz is the crystal associated with him. Raziel helps clear our third eyes, opening us to our psychic abilities. He also aids in cutting the ties to conditions of our past lives, which may be holding us back now.

If you have been drawn to reading ancient spiritual texts such as the Bible or the Kaballah, you may already be working with Raziel and absorbing this information. Picture a divine wizard. This is how Raziel appears. He helps us comprehend the mysteries of the universe such as sacred geometry and quantum physics. Raziel stands behind me during all my workshops so I can teach and communicate clearly, as well as giving me information to pass on.

Tune into each of these divine beings. You will feel their different energies and where they are around you by gently allowing them to speak to you, or by praying with intention.

The answer is yes. The person we call Santa Claus, or St. Nick, was a real man. Nicholas of Myra (or Nikolaos, meaning “victory of the people”) was born around 280 A.D. in what was then called Asia Minor, but is now called Turkey.

Nicholas was always a very spiritual person who at a very young age was completely committed to serving God. He was very sensitive to the suffering of others and wanted to make a difference in the world.

He was born to wealthy parents but unfortunately lost them to the plague. Nicholas felt the best way to serve God was to use his wealth to help others. He vowed to the Lord that he would serve and help as many people as possible in any way he could.

There are many stories of Nicholas. He was famous for his generosity, the miracles he performed, his love for children and his ability to bi-locate

One of the stories about Nicholas tells of a family in the city of Lycia. A local nobleman and his daughters had fallen into deep financial misfortune. The nobleman was afraid he would need to sell his three daughters for he could provide no dowries for them. Hearing of the man’s hardships, Nicholas decided to secretly toss a bag of coins into the window of the man’s home as the family slept.

The next morning, the nobleman praised God for his good fortune. But the man was still concerned about the future of his other daughters.

Nicholas repeated this kind gesture, throwing another bag of coins through the bedroom window of the second eldest daughter the next night. As that bag of coins landed in her shoes, Nicholas quickly slipped away into the darkness and was able to keep his identity a secret.

On the third night, the nobleman was watching for Nicholas. He wanted to thank him for his generosity. This time when Nicholas came, he tossed the bag of coins through the window and it landed in the youngest girls’ stocking. However, before Nicholas could get away, the nobleman caught up with Nicholas. The nobleman thanked Nicholas profusely. Humbly, Nicholas asked the man to keep his name anonymous and they agreed the man could tell the story to anyone he pleased after Nicholas’ death. This anonymity resulted in the tradition of Saint Nicholas leaving gifts in stocking and shoes.

Nicholas on several occasions was given credit for restoring life to children who had been pronounced dead.

It is said, that one night there was a violent storm at sea. A group of sailors found themselves vulnerable and in danger of losing their lives. As they desperately prayed for help, Nicholas – although many miles away, appeared before them saying, “You cried out to me and here I am.” Nicholas’ peaceful presence helped the men relax as Nicholas calmed the waters around them.

Even though he was a man of great wealth, he was persecuted, tormented and put on trial for his belief in Jesus Christ. During this time, Emperor Diocletian was in power in Asia Minor and he was completely intolerant of Christianity. In 303, he issued an edict in which he prohibited it in Nicomediam. This brought about numerous executions, the confiscation of property and the destruction of churches.

Also as a result, around the year 305, Nicholas was persecuted and tortured for defending this faith in God and Jesus Christ.

During the reign on Emperor Constantine I, Nicholas was once again tormented and put on trial. It is said, however, that before the Emperor ruled against Nicholas, the image of Christ and Mary appeared in the sky above Nicholas. The Emperor took this as a sign to spare Nicholas and he was saved.

In 313, Constantine announced toleration of Christianity in The Edict of Milan, which removed penalties for professing Christianity and returned to the church its earlier confiscated property. Constantine was the 1st Roman emperor to support Christianity and to become Christian.

Nicholas was sainted after his death and a great church was built for him in Constantinople, now known as Istanbul, Turkey. This shrine was a center of pilgrimage but over time fell into disarray. Italian merchants wanting to preserve the relics of Saint Nicholas removed them from their location. Now Saint Nicholas’ relics are located in a tomb in the Basilica di San Nicola in Bari, Italy.

St. Nicholas Day is actually celebrated on December 6 in parts of Europe and is a festival for children celebrated by gift giving and feasts. In the countries of Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands, the celebration of St. Nicholas and its associated gift giving tradition is part of the Christmas season

In the Netherlands, children put shoes in front of the chimney filled with carrots and hay for Saint Nicholas’ “horses”. In Portugal, the festivities are celebrated from November 29^th to December 7^th.

In Italy, gifts are given on the morning of December 6^th, followed by a fair called, “Fiera di San Nicolo.”

In Holland, in the Middle ages, St. Nicholas was known as Sinter Klaas. There, he was famous for filling the Dutch children’s shoes with nut’s and candy.

Later, as the Dutch immigrated to New Amsterdam (now called New York) they brought along their traditions of gift giving and celebrating Sinter Klaas. This joyous celebration continued to spread throughout America. Because St. Nicholas’ Day is so close to Christmas, over time the two holidays began to overlap and Santa Claus became part of the Christmas tradition.

Nicholas has been named the patron saint and protector of children, seafarers, maidens, voyagers, choirboys, firefighters, stone masons, weavers, butchers, prisoners and captives.

The spirit of Saint Nicholas and the expression of his love, kindness and generosity for mankind remain in our rich religious and nonreligious traditions and celebrations.

In celebration of St. Nick and our ascended masters once again enjoy this ever returning holiday season.

Kristen: What can we expect when attending this class?

Jamie:  In this class, students can expect to not only learn various ways to connect with their angels but more about their own abilities and styles of connecting with their own inner divine guidance!  This class is a great introduction and overview of the Angelic realm, who they are, your own intuitive abilities, and various methods of connecting with your angels for a very affordable price and in a very supportive, safe environment.  The evening event which is optional will be a gallery-style reading where I channel forth messages from the angels for various random audience members.

Kristen:  How long have you been teaching this class?

Jamie: I have been teaching this class as well as variations of this class since 2005.

When we forgive someone, we release the cycle of grudges, hurts, and revenge.  This doesn’t make what the other person did okay, and it is, of course, easier said than done, but this is how we find the wisdom that awaits us. Sometimes it’s easier to forgive the transgressions of a complete stranger then it is to let go of something our spouse did months or even years ago. For so many reasons, those close to us can get under our skin like no one else! And it can be hard to let that go.

When I was 21 years old, I lived alone, and unbeknownst to me, a strange man had been stalking me. I awoke one night to find his shadowed silhouette standing in my bedroom doorway. The light from the streetlamp outside my window streamed inside, and I watched as he rifled through my belongings. Before I knew what was happening, he was at my bedside and there was a knife at my throat. He threatened to kill me. I thought to myself, “This can’t be happening.” But it was. Of course I was terrified, and everything in me was frozen.  I was in a place where time and space didn’t exist.  And I didn’t know what to do.

Suddenly, I left my body and found myself very near my ceiling. I began to receive information about my attacker.  I knew that something in him had gone wrong due to issues with his mother. I knew that he didn’t know what he was doing. I knew that he didn’t have the ability to stop himself. That he was sick. That he needed help. And then an even more extraordinary thing happened. I forgave him. I was detached from the situation and was able in that moment to be objective enough to understand. I knew that my body was not the whole of who I was and that this man was not just the human being who was hurting me.

I knew I was responsible for my life, including this horrific situation, and I knew this was a profound lesson for me. I experienced the capacity to experience the Oneness of all life, including that my soul and this man’s soul was part of that Oneness. But why did anyone who could commit heinous crimes deserve forgiveness? Was I crazy? In shock? At the time, I couldn’t put it into words, but I experienced the wisdom of forgiveness. And then I was back in my body as quickly as I had left it.

In the days that followed the attack I found myself dealing with the reactions of people.  Family members blamed me because I “should have known better then to live by myself.” A man I had been seeing suddenly wanted nothing to do with me. Finding the police report, the local newspaper printed the story and actually included my name! Once public, there were relatives who thought I was bringing shame to the family. A male co worker thought I was now ‘free game’. In the midst of this insanity I struggled to do what I had been able to do during the actual ordeal-I struggled to forgive. These people were my loved ones, friends and co workers. I knew them. But I couldn’t forgive them the way I forgave the complete stranger who broke into my apartment in the middle of the night and assaulted me.

The wisdom wasn’t coming. I was not outside my body floating at my ceiling. I was firmly rooted in my physical self and I was hurting. I did, however, eventually forgive. I came to understand that holding onto the anger I felt towards these people was not serving me and never would. They were on their path just as I was on mine.  About 4 years after the attack, I was in court facing the man who had altered the course of my life so violently. He was smaller than I remembered and as he sat before me shackled at his hands and feet, he hung his head and he wept. I learned many things that day, new things about how he had stalked me, followed me to my parent’s home, he had been in my car and in my apartment when I was at work. I was given a whole new set of circumstances to digest and yes, to forgive.

I don’t think he ever lifted his head and looked at me that day. I wonder if he ever forgave himself? What he did to me was not okay, but I could choose to forgive him and find peace. And I am forever grateful that I did because it’s helped me grow in such glorious ways. Now, working with the angels, I know that no matter how dire our circumstances may be, no matter how hurt we have been by another, we are never alone and we can forgive. And that makes us wise.

Archangel Uriel has the ability to help us see things clearly.  In a world where we have so much energy swirling around us via the news, friends, family, and career, it is easy for our vision to be clouded.  Look to Archangel Uriel to cast a new light on any subject matter you may be wrestling with and ask for his Divine guidance in seeing the situation clearly.

Relationships with others can cause confusion, especially when they are romantic in nature.  A person you like can seem warm and inviting and then the next day cold and distant.  By asking to see things clearly, Archangel Uriel can help you make a decision as to whether pursuing the relationship will benefit you.  The key is to be open and accept what you see. Your Angels and Guides can help support you with this process.

In our current job market, letting go of a job that is no longer aligned with you may seem fool-hardy.  But, staying in a job that’s become stagnant blocks your progress as well.  This is another instance where you can call on Archangel Uriel to help you see another path and another way.

Be in the silence of knowing that all is in Divine Order and that you are exactly where you need to be in this moment.  What are you learning?  What do you see?  Do you need a little more light?  Allow Archangel Uriel to help you focus on your God within.  In doing so, there will be peace and a crystal clear path for you to follow!

So how many of you have seen the movie 2012?  I have not, but from what I gather it is a film about mass disaster around the world caused by climate change and the “end” of world.  I must admit, I have always been drawn to disaster movies because I really appreciate special effects, but I have also always thought they are not the best movies for people that may take them literally.

In short, if you can see them as a 2-hour “no brainer” movie, great, but if they instill fear and dread, then that is not the best energy to put out into the Universe.

Interestingly, this month we are featuring Archangel Uriel.  Uriel helps us deal with natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornados, and floods.  We can ask him to protect us from these events or prevent them if need-be.  We can also call on Archangel Uriel to help us prepare for these events if they happen and most importantly, keep us free from fear of what could happen.Remember, fear simply feeds fear and by being prepared, you can avert a lot of anxiety and free yourself from thinking the worst.

When we call on Archangel Uriel for this particular issue, we can ask him to keep us steady and clear in the event of an emergency and to illuminate our paths with the beautiful Light of God he carries.

Breathe in the security that Archangel Uriel has to offer.  Follow his guidance when it comes to being prepared and live your life, embracing every moment or every day!

Archangel Uriel and I have been tight for a long time.   My relationship with him is closer than with any other Archangel.   In Lightworker gigs, that’s unusual.   Michael tends to corner the market as the superstar in the Archangel world.   And of course, I call on Michael often and am grateful for the powerful sway he holds over some very key issues.   However, Uriel and I have been close since I first got my certification as an Angel Therapy Practitioner back in 2003.

At that time, Dr. Virtue did a guided meditation for the ATP students that included bringing in each of the primary 15 Archangels.   As she did that alphabetically, Uriel was 14^th.  Completely contrary to my experience of ATP up until that moment, the meditation was totally flat.   I didn’t feel the presence of any of the Archangels and I was concerned why I wasn’t getting anything from the meditation.

But then Dr. Virtue invited in Uriel.   And everything changed.   The entire room was flooded with a golden light.   The floor turned into golden sparkles as though it was painted with gold glitter.   I heard angel choruses and the light from Uriel was blinding.   I was totally floored!  Finally I was locking into the meditation!  I was so happy!

Then Dr. Virtue brought in Archangel Zadkiel and it was like the whole thing went flat again.   I had nothin’.  Nadda.   Nyet.

I took that as a significant message about which Archangel I would be working with.  From that moment on, my experience at ATP was like a whack on the head from Uriel.   Every throw of Angel Oracle Cards I threw had Uriel in it.  Every reading I got from fellow students referenced Uriel.   And my first reading with a staff member began with her saying “Did you know that Archangel Uriel is with you?”

Yes.  I had noticed.   In fact, the class started calling me Uriel’s Boy.   And what a compliment.

Archangel Uriel’s name means “God’s light.”   As you may have surmised, he comes in a pure, yellow gold light and resonates with the “stone” of amber.  I like to call Uriel the Archangel of Epiphany as his purpose is to illuminate hard situations, to be a lantern on our way, and bring us brilliant new ideas.   He resonates with the clair of claircognizance, which happens also be my primary gift; perhaps another reason I resonate so strongly with him.   He also helps out with divine magic, the ability to manifest things from thin air, writing, and (I’ve always thought oddly) the weather.

When I asked my friend and “sponsor” Uriel for a message for our readers, it was very clear and concise.   Uriel told me that this is a time where things begin to break free.   The hold on forward movement that was partially caused by Jupiter being in retrograde, ended in mid-October.  Expansiveness now begins to bloom again.

Hard work done on an important project or to enact changes in our life now starts to pay off.  We should be looking for any weaknesses in our preparations that would keep them from soaring and correct those.   New opportunities or interests in material matters (money, health, exercise, food, building something physical) show up.  Out of the blue, we discover or are gifted with the raw materials necessary to move forward.   We start to become conscious of the physical or material potentials available to us, both in our bodies and in the world around us.

We must be careful of indecision.   This is the time to make choices, and more importantly to act.   Planning is over.  It’s time to get our hands dirty and really jump into manifesting our dreams.

Archangel Uriel also encourages us not to accept the world as it is, but to visualize it the way we want it to be.   This reality not working out so good for you?  Then create the one you want.

From an Archangel known for ideas, this is a VERY “doing” message.   Uriel says that we’ve planned.  We’ve nurtured.  We’ve set things up as perfectly as we can.   But we cannot think our dreams forever without taking action on them.

Now is the time to dive headlong into the dream.   And with Uriel’s help, to make it come true.

I was working with Archangel Uriel today and asking for help to forgive a family member for hurtful behavior towards me. Archangel Uriel is my “go to” Archangel when I’m working on forgiveness. While asking for help with this I realized that I had to forgive myself, for what I perceived as a failure to speak up for myself in this situation. Archangel Uriel surrounded me in the most beautiful light energy and gave me this meditation to use and share with everyone. After doing the meditation I felt immediate relief, so thank you again, Archangel Uriel.

Here is the meditation:

My Dear Light Beings,

Today I bring you a short meditation to use when you feel the need to forgive yourself or others. As you all know forgiveness is about changing the energy for you and releasing all the heaviness, anger and hurt that you experience every time you relive an incident or think about a specific person. So I want to help you reach a place within yourself that is neutral about both the experience and/or the individual. For when your emotions are neutral they have no impact on you.

Get into a comfortable position in a quiet place or you can do this while you are in nature. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and as you breathe in count to 5 now hold your breath for the count of 2 and then release your breath for a count of 5. Do this 2 more times. Now see yourself surrounded by a beautiful light. This light can be any color, just know that I am helping surround you in this light. You will feel my energy as you see the color. Now allow the color to infuse your energetic body, your physical body, your mental body and your spiritual body.

As you allow this to light to envelop and infuse you, you will begin to see sparkles of light sweep through all your bodies. Just allow this to happen. I am with you all the way. While this is happening you will see or hear names and sense incidents that have impacted you in a negative way. Acknowledge them and the allow one of the sparkles of light to enfold them. As each incident or name is touched by the sparkle of light they disappear. Take your time with this there is no hurry.

When you feel that this is complete you will see a light glowing from your heart. The sparkling lights seem to be attaching to the heart light and helping it to expand. As this happens you may hear the words I forgive everyone and everything now. I especially forgive myself for any perceived errors in thinking or behavior. I release all dense energy I have held onto, even if I haven’t been aware of it.

As you allow yourself to forgive and release the light from your heart center now fills your being and expands out into the space you are in. While you are expanding your heart light I am taking the colored energy that had surrounded you and bringing it into the cosmos to be transformed into light and love.

Now sit in this beautiful heart light and know that you have released and forgiven and you are now in a place of peace. I now surround you in a light shield of protection. You may call on me at any time to help release unforgiveness. You are a Divine light and the more you can release unforgiveness, the more you will realize how wonderful you are.

I send you love and know that this is done. Go forth with a light heart and see yourself as I see you, a beautiful bright light of peace and love.

Will you have mountains?   Snow?   Sunshine?  Rainfall?  Wind?   Will you have the same weather all over your planet?  Or will your winds blow changes and seasons to help your players appreciate what they have and learn to cherish the differences and the lessons?  As a loving creator how will you guide your creations?   Will you berate, scold and destroy them if they make mistakes?  If you do everything for them, will they learn anything?  If you do nothing will they survive?   How about giving them a game plan, and a map to find guides and tools when they need them?

Now here’s the twist that puts this game into a different league.  It’s real.  It’s your world.  It’s your life.  No one else can live this life like you.  You are responsible for your every thought. You create. You choose how things will be.  You cannot choose how other people will be, that’s their game. So butt out.   Your unique power  is that you can always choose how you react to what is around you.  If you get lost you can always ask for help.   Those are the ground rules.

So let’s play  Take the controls and zoom out right now.  Get the big picture to start at level one. See yourself as your high self sees you. A beautiful soul just trying to do the best you can with what you currently know, right now,  at the start of this new year.  You dropped onto the scene with a unique game plan.  How are you doing?   Are your new year resolutions encouraging, or founded on self criticism?  I have over indulged.  I am fat, therefore I resolve to diet or go down the gym.  How many times have you done that one!  How many weeks or months before your resolve ebbed away and you berated yourself for failing? Again.  Try it from a higher point of view.  How about:  I love, accept and approve of myself just as I AM right now?   I AM willing to change.   I AM willing to release the need to carry excess weight.  Where does that need come from?   How does that feel?  Ok, let’s move to the next area.

Did you think or say things over the holiday season that you wish you hadn’t?  Were there things you wish you had said, but didn’t?  From your higher self perspective, hit the replay button.   Watch the scenes play out again.  You can rewind, pause.  You even have a “behind the scenes” option.   What’s going on in your world?  What triggered that conflict and harsh words?   What blocked you from saying what you need?  Stuck?   This is where you get your first bonus.  Call in an Archangel.   Call on Archangel Michael to cut cords between you and someone with whom you’re playing “pass the parcel of blame and recrimination”.  Their stuff is their stuff. Your stuff is your stuff.   You don’t have to keep dealing with it.  Forgive them, forgive yourself. Let it go. Keep the lesson as a tool to use as you move forward in the game.  Call on Archangel Gabriel to help you with communication.   It is OK to lovingly speak your truth.   You deserve love.  Surround the scene with a bubble of love, and let’s move on again.

Ok.  So now you’re starting to get the hang of this game, let’s take it up a level.  Are you ready for a stage two challenge?  It’s easy to say those things from up on high.  Take the zoom control and put yourself back on your planet.  The planet you chose to incarnate onto, with the people you chose to help you with your progress through the levels.   Connect your feet right back into earth and look into the mirror of your life.  What is reflecting back at you?  This is where you collect the goodies for your life kit-bag that will help you on your journey.  Look right into that mirror, into your own eyes, and say out loud:  “I AM willing to love, accept and approve of myself, just as I AM, right now”.  Easy?  Tough? Keep working it, baby!    Now try:   ”I AM willing to change.  I AM willing to release…….    What is it that you are willing to release?   What bubbles up?

If it feels tough or uncomfortable you’re probably right on the button. Nobody said this game was easy.  What monsters are lurking in your depths?  Are you going to go in and fight with them and come out bruised and battered?  Or are you going to wise up, stand back, acknowledge them, and release them.  Once they come out into the light they’re not so scary.   Just frightened little ideas from your past that you’ve picked up and carried as you go along, that need to be loved better.
